Living life in the sweet spot

I love surface patterns. I love learning about them, living with them and I especially love making them.

As a graphic designer by trade and training, I enjoy the challenge of distilling information into an appealing visual form of communication, but as an artist, I just want to make beautiful things and make things beautiful.

Surface pattern design is the perfect union of an artist’s eye for beauty and the designer’s quest for order. It is my sweet spot.

I spend my time in this sweet spot as much as I can, otherwise you’ll find me wandering the rocky coast of Maine, laughing with my besties, on a road trip with my husband or thumbing through seed catalogs … all the while gathering inspiration for my next collection.
